Our deepest condolences to Jenny's family.
Your friends at Truscott, Brown & Dwyer Funeral Chapel
So sad to hear that smiling Jenny is no longer brightening our city with her creative and generous spirit. I had many happy interactions with Jenny during my time as Mayor. She lifted my spirits each and every time. My sincere condolences to Jenny's family who will miss her most. Hamilton will not be the same without her.
Sincerely, Fred Eisenberger
Jen will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Her kindness, optomism and joy will be remembered. Rest in peace Jen.
My sister and I were just talking about you a month or so ago.
Were wondering what became of you since we went to Calvin Christian School together.
God blessed you with many artistic talents that we were never aware of.
God's love and strength be with your family Jenny (especially Jane who we knew so well) as I'm sure they will miss you!!!!
With love
Jentina VanWely
Our hearts are heavy. Rest peacefully. Deepest condolences.
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of sweet Jenn. We her friends at herbnuilding will miss her dearly.
Hi Sherrie and family
Your mom was always smiling and very kind to me. I want you to know that you were a wonderful daughter and should be very proud of that. I will miss knowing your mom isn't with us anymore. When the sadness lightens enjoy your memories with her.
Love Sue
Sad to hear of Jen's passing. She was always such a great supporter of our radio stations and was always to kind to bring us photo's and collages - often within hours of taking the photos.
I am truly sorry for the loss of a beautiful, kind hearted, generous, and amazing woman. Jen the Photographer as she was known around my work , would always be the most cheerful and patient customer. Jen always had a funny story to tell that she experienced on that day while taking a photo, or even just while walking down the street making new friends. She has a laugh and smile that will always be remembered and I'm sure everyone has a few photos that will be treasured always. To a great woman I enjoyed serving ice cream cones to all the time, so she could get the perfect drip, thank you for all the smiles, laughs, and memories. Till we meet again. Xoxo
a very big hearted loving person that was taken too early will miss her smiling face and caring soul she allways hadbeautiful meaning pictures that showed how much she cared xoxoxo
If you wanted to know what was happening in Hamilton, Jennie was the person to ask. Thanks Jennie for all your pictures, especially of my son playing his guitar at the Freeway and at Living Rock. Will miss you. Deepest sympathy to your family.
Dear Jen, I will love you always. You've left such a void at the Freeway, in our neighbourhood, and I hope we can honour what you brought to our lives and this city. I hope we can share joy and beauty with each other as you did. I hope we can be open to all kinds of people and be generous. I hope we can believe in our own creativity and use it to bring hope to people, as you did. Your light will continue to shine on us. <3
Dearest Jen, you touched my life only for a short while, but during that time, you showed me a way of looking at the world that I hadn't tried before. You showed me a viewpoint that not many of us take the time to see. For that I thank you.
I will miss you Jen, more than I thought was possible. I will miss your photos, pins, and so much more.
I take comfort in the few photos you shared with me and the magical horse pin you gave me.
To Jen's daughter and family: Be proud of your Mom, she touched so many lives, inspired so many, and loved everyone she met. May she rest in peace, surrounded by all that she loves. I'm sure she is up there somewhere still taking photos and still creating the things she loved!
Jen was a lovely lady and had so many, wonderful projects on the go and loved to share her ideas with anyone who would listen. She was a regular customer at my workplace and although i was in the kitchen she often called me out to show me her photos and gave me some too! I often saw her in other places around Hamilton, working on her crafts, and she would share every detail of her plans. She was a beautiful Lady and I am sure she has captured many hearts and many moments with her personality and her camera. I will miss her.My sympathies to her family.
Jen was a remarkable lady whom I had the pleasure to meet just a couple of years ago. Her generous sharing of her craft ideas and photographs and warm, friendly conversation added a new dimension to the life of everyone who met her. Condolences to her beloved family.
Jen would brighten my day at work as well as the reception area by bringing me in a new card marking the holiday for that month. She was a lovely lady, full of knowledge and will be missed. I will cherish her cards in her memory.
Jenny was a friend of mine! She would always brighten up my day if I was feeling down. Jenny also turned into a fantastic photographer and craft maker. I always enjoyed her company as did my little dog which she liked too (Jewels). Jenny will surely be missed by me. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Our deepest condolences to Jen’s family. She was a kind soul always willing to share her art and her heart with everyone. We know you are now enjoying the peace and happiness you deserve.
really going to miss your smile alot around hamilton streets
Jenn was a great friend of mine and I will miss her terribly. We first met at the Cottage Studio about five years ago. She is such a friendly and delightful person and so giving of herself. She has always encouraged me and every time I see her she makes me smile. She brought such joy and laughter downtown to everyone just like she did at her funeral today. I would like to leave a suggestion that we dedicate a street or park or a statue for our dear beloved sunny Jenn
I think a street named after her would be a great too!
She was such a wonderful person and I will miss her a lot.
Jennie, you were a friend to everyone. You are an inspiration and you will live on in our hearts and in your photos.
Condolences to Jenn's family. She exemplified Hamilton's folk (art) traditions
I love you sis, and miss you very much.
Thank you for your prayers, Jentina.
Very sad to hear of Jenn's passing. She was a regular patron of Hamilton Arts Council back when we were located at King Street East. She loved the art openings and talking often about her photography which she loved so much. My deepest condolences to her family.
Hello Der-shing Helmer, and thanks for the great read!On your point I must cofness, that some mediocre web comics can be bearable because they update often and on time (say, *cough* Wayward Sons). But when YOU are actually capable of this kind of quality, you should rather worry about keeping that standard and really not about quantity at all.Anyway, I don't think you can shut up all the spoiled children and anonymous a-holes out there on the internets by way of responding to theme280a6 Even if you told off all of those reading now, later other idiots will join (bet on it) who won't have read this thread. The only long time solution is to stop wasting emotional energy, period. You are so very good at your own thing, and you should focus on that. Best of health going forward and cheers :-)
artist. Invariably someone will make a dlriacateon of the person's demise, whether or not that is the case There are about a dozen comics in my Following list which have not updated in many moons. One of them even said See you next year! back in August (and has not yet resumed updates ) A few of them, though, have lost their sites (there are Registrar placeholder sites currently showing) and a couple of let their domain registrations lapse. While I do tend to worry any time an artist misses their expected next posting date by more than a week, and have occasionally contacted an artist with an Are you okay? e-mail, it's the ones that languish long enough to vanish that actually leave me truly wondering if the person has met an untimely end.(Of course, then there are the ones that are deliberately taken down by the creators. A falling out with a host, for example, or a I'm starting over, and I'm wiping out the old version so that only the new version is there. , or in one case, a I got a publishing deal, but I have to take the comic offline or they'll back out. )
