Jan. 07 - Loma - Providing a safe crossing of busy King Street East for our children on their first day back to school after the Christmas holidays.  How many other un-sung heros are there in Hamilton who provide such unfailing service in all weathers?

Monica says,

What a great photo! Thanks Loma and everyone else like you!

Victor says,

She's a wonderful and dedicated woman. She walks over a kilometer each way 3 times a day to do her crossing duties.

Drivers have ignored her sign and shouted profanities, but she returns every day to make sure the kids are safe on their way to and from school at a very busy crossing.

Richard Lyall says,

Great shot - tells the story.

Loma, possesses many great qualities, some of which are; compassionate, hard working, thoughtful, very generous, a good listener and adviser. Those that have met her will agree I am sure, that she is one of a kind.
The children are fortunate to have such a kind yet responsible woman crossing them.
