November 11, 2008 - Nov 11

Nov 11 - Hans – If this 18-year-old reservist has his way, he’ll be serving in Afghanistan within the next 12 to 18 months. Many of those we are honoring today would not have been much older, or looked much different, when they were sent off to war. To Hans, and all the rest of our soldiers, thank you.

To HANS and all our troops, Thank You for all you do and for your heart and courage.
For All Our Fallen Soldiers "May God give you a better eternal life".
We all should let our Government know that our soldiers must be rewarded after service.
If their kids were serving the front line I bet it would be different.
Hans you look good dude, but you look better in a pair of jeans and T-Shirt. Good Luck.
With respect and gratitude, thank you.
Thank you for such a beautiful picture! God bless our troops! My brother-in-law made it back in one piece and wish the same for all those serving in any war!
Mel~
My Father Bert Whittle was one of the many soldiers who freed Holland from the Nazis.
He was lucky to come home alive so praising our soldiers sacrifice for freedom has been part of my life for a good long time. To Hans, serve with honour, we will never forget.
HANS, you are a hero already- you are keeping us safe!
My Dad was your age when he joined the Royal Air Force. My uncle lied about his age so he could join the RAF as well- he was only 16. They served as airplane mechanics.
Every role is important. Thank you for your courage!
Cant say I agree with what war is all about, but when it is inevitable I appreciate having those that will step up and protect us when the time comes. A world free from violence all together would be a better world.
P.S. Thank you Hans...you are so young.
Hans; As the mother of 2 sons (one of who spent 13 years in the Navy but not in such dangerous times as these), you have have my total admiration & respect for your bravery. May you come home safely & thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your parents must be so proud ( rightfully so!!) & I will pray for all of you. Well done & God speed.
doesn't war suck?
Hans, the face of hope.
Hans Thank you for serving!
Good luck. But let's hope this war is over before you have to leave, eh?
Hey! I know you! You really have gotten far from the little 12-year-old cadet I remember! Good for you for going on into the Reserves and I hope the best for you if/when you go overseas! Thanks for everything you and your comrades do!
Cheers to a soldier of the CF! Best of luck in your future career, keep safe.
I will always remember the sacrifices being made daily by our soldiers -past and present- serving all over the world.
